Handmade Bassoon Reed

This finished bassoon reed is scraped and adjusted by hand, and measured on a dial indicator. Each reed is tested to ensure the highest quality product. The reed is suitable for players of all levels - I do not sell reeds with strength levels of “Student, Intermediate, Professional, etc,” any reed I send out, I would happily play on myself. The reed is modeled after my personal reed style that I learned from Dave Wells and Michael Burns.

These unfinished reeds are formed, wrapped with cotton thread, and sealed with beeswax, but the tip is not yet clipped.
All blank reeds are 60mm in total length with a tube length of 28.5mm.
